Blackberry Crumble

A simple crumble made with juicy blackberries and a buttery oat topping. Easy to make and great with ice cream or yogurt.

Ingredients
  

  • cup Blackberries (fresh or frozen) 
  • 2 tbsp Sugar 
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice 
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch or plain flour
  • ¾ cup All-purpose flour 
  • ½ cup Rolled oats
  • ½ cup Brown sugar 
  • 6 tbsp Cold butter, cut into small cubes - Pinch of salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). 
  2. In a baking dish, mix the blackberries with sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. 
  3. In a bowl, mix the flour, oats, sugar, and salt. 
  4. Rub in the cold butter using your fingers until the mix looks like coarse crumbs. 
  5. Spread the topping over the blackberry mixture. 
  6. Bake for 30–35 minutes, until the top is golden and the fruit is bubbling. 
  7. Let cool slightly before serving.
