- Wash, pit, and roughly chop the plums—no need to peel.
 - Add plums and water to a small saucepan.
 - Cover and simmer over low heat for 8–10 minutes, until the plums are soft and breaking down.
 - Let cool slightly, then blend until smooth (or leave a little texture if preferred).
 - Cool completely before serving or storing.
